I don't feel guilty about the new coat anymore. After intensely analyzing myself I realized that I was placing the unrealistic expectation upon myself to get a tremendous deal on everything I buy. Well, it's not always possible. I've looked for a dress coat in my usual bargain outlets for several years now, and I haven't found one. Heaven knows almost everything I wear is from Goodwill or a garage sale. I think it just freaked me out to buy something new and not on sale!
Spending was pretty low today -- $.75 for a snack from the vending machine, and $2.95 for cat food.
It's cold, blustery and wet all of a sudden. Still, I'm not going to turn the furnace on yet. I'll bundle up tonight. There'll be warm days yet before winter truly arrives!
Meals today:
Breakfast: Yogurt, apple, cheese, pumpkin spice latte
Snack: Chocolate bar
Lunch: Lean Cuisine (chicken, stuffing & potatoes)
Dinner: Peanut butter & pickle sandwich, potato chips, strawberry ice cream, milk
I'm over it

I spent 75 dollars on a new coat for myself and felt guilty about it until I sat myself down and made myself see that I bought exactly what I've been wanting for THREE YEARS and that I have worn my previous coat bought for 29.95 for FIVE YEARS. Then I didn't feel so bad!
