Yesterday I needed cat food. My cat has eaten ProPlan from PetSmart for quite a while, but PetSmart is a good drive away from here. My cousin recommended Animal Supply House. I went, but they didn't carry ProPlan. However, they had a brand called Nutra that was $3 off a 4# bag. There was a rebate pad close by offering $6 off for the same product. Then I found a trial bag for $1.99 that had a $2 coupon in it. The clerk then informed me that I could sign up to get a free bag after ten purchases. They keep the record. All in all, I got 5# of cat food for 1.49., with a free bag in the future. And he likes it!
I also had to get some Frontline, since he is spending so much time in the woods. That was $40.99 -- no deals on that.
I am still dealing with settle-up bills from my former residence. My internet/cable provider, Insight, never withdrew the usual $83 from my checking account, so I sent them a check. The very same day I received a new bill that was only $32. I called them to make sure that they would cut a check and not credit an account I'm no longer using!
I also got my last water bill and last gas bill. I got a bill from State Farm for $480. That was to settle up my home insurance, which I paid through my mortgage. I knew that was coming, but I had forgotten.
Today, if my cousin feels up to it, we are going furniture shopping. I need a bed, and she wants to furnish the breakfast/TV room she added onto the house.
