I have a bed. I've been sleeping on the box spring and mattress on the floor, but today my headboard and frame arrived. It is so beautiful. And it feels really good to be up high again.
Some of the furniture for the breakfast room arrived as well. Two recliners and an occasional chair. We are still expecting four chairs for the table. (My cousin bought all that furniture; I only bought the headboard.) So the breakfast room is shaping up really nicely. It has a big window with a moutain view, as well as a plasma screen TV! I'm not used to such luxury, and sometimes it feels strange.
The other odd thing is that people keep bringing food. Today my cousin's sister brought all the makings for a filet mignon dinner, and my sister brought a whole dinner from KFC, and a box of chocolate-covered strawberries. Don't get me wrong, I'm appreciative, but we already have almost too much food to handle. I am used to stretching food, not managing an overload. But I am the odd one out; everyone else seems to think having too much food is normal.

As for partying, the only people I know here are the ones who brought the food!
