Craft fair & bargain books

July 21st, 2007 at 03:26 pm

Yesterday my sister took me out for breakfast. I paid the tip, $4.00. Then we went to a craft fair at the mall. I bought only one item, a tile memo board, so that I can leave messages for my cousin. My sister bought only a footstool, which was very restrained on her part.

While I was at the mall I went through the bargain books at Waldenbooks and found a book I've wanted to read -- "Stealing Buddha's Dinner" -- and a book about Wrigley Field to give to my son. About $12 for both.

Today my cousin wanted to go rug shopping. She woke up feeling well, but then started to feel woozy and went back to bed. She has NCS and has frequent spells of dizziness. So until she gets up again, I'm going to continue reading "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy (?) What a fascinating book! Read it if you want to appreciate your own life!
