Ouch-ee-wa-wa

So yesterday I got my invoice for my health insurance premium. I was expecting it, but it was still a shock: $4802. (I elected to pay annually to save some money). It took more than half of my emergency/big ticket fund. Now I have to be really mindful to replenish the account so I'm not caught short next year.

Then I checked my retirement assets. I lost nearly $6,000 due to the stock market. I know, it will come back, but what a downer of a day!

My net worth will be taking a hit because of this bad stock market too! I can't get over your premiums!

I know, the premium is huge. It is the down side of retiring early, before I am eligible for Medicare.

To make you both feel better. We have private health insurance and pay $1432.70 per month for 2 people or
    $17, 192.40 per year.
