Carolina Bound

I'm a single woman in my late fifties, with two grown sons, a beautiful grandson, an old dog and two cats (who currently hate each other!) I retired early in 2007 (retiring my debt as well!) and I am sharing a home with my cousin in the mountains of North Carolina. My challenge is to make ends meet on a retiree's (very limited) income.

Savings goals:

Medical premium (2009): $4800 (funded)

Medical/Dental fund: $2359 ($177 funded)

Emergency fund: $1000 ($95 funded)

Just got another $5 for Pinecone, so that's $5 more for the dental fund!

You have really inspired me to create a dental fund. I need a new crown, couple of fillings, and may need to have an older bridge replaced. I am going to start my dental fund next paycheck. Yea me!!!

My blog today is about survey checks. I noticed that Pinecone now offers $3.00 checks to new people who sign up. I've been with them for well over a year and I receive $5.00. Not sure what is up with that!

Creditcardfree -- I didn't know Pinecone was paying $3 to new people. Glad I signed up when I did! I've been with them for about a year.

That definitely must be something new. I signed up over a year ago and they pay me $5. as well.
