Yes, my spending this month was up in pretty much every category.
Here is where I spent more:
Car Repair/Maintenance: $1031 - mostly on body work
Utilities: $217 - up because of double payment on gas
Gifts/Charity: $88 - office stuff, mostly
Groceries: $101 - still low, though
Eating Out: $192 - this was a perfect storm of office good-byes, stress relief, being in situations where I couldn't pack a lunch
Medical/Health: $81 - doctor's visit, lice treatment
Vacation/Travel: $82 - weekend trip to Indiana
Houshold Supplies: $30 - that ill-fated P&G promotion
Vet/Pet Supplies: $40 - did some stocking up
Personal: $25 - got a haircut (every other month)
Here is where I spent less:
Entertainment: $17
Business: $28 - a $95 income offset the cost
Clothing: $31 - Goodwill finds
Furnishings/Equipment: $8
Rent, Insurance and Fees/Services were all the same.
My total spending was $3158. Would have been pretty much in line had I not had the car fixed.
I stayed in all day yesterday, even though I had a car. In fact, I didn't even change out of my pajamas all day. I did a bit of cooking -- made some borscht and trifle. I read and watched "True Grit" on Netflix. I finished "Ape House" by Sarah Gruen and now I'm starting "The Hunger Games."
