I figure I'm done for today. Not too happy with all the extra spending I did, but most of it was necessary. Even the Easter candy. When you have grandchildren, holiday treats are necessary! My "splurge" was mascara -- which was 25% off and I had a $2 coupon. And since I wear it every day, I guess I could call it a necessity, too.
I hit my first garage sale of the season. It was not the best ever, but for $4 I got a pair of blue jean capris, a Nemadji bowl for the booth, and a "paint your own ornaments" kit which I will give to my grand-nieces.
My grocery shopping was above my usual $20. I was counting in my head and evidently made a mistake. Anyway, for $24.63, here is what I got: big canister of oatmeal, box of granola, loaf of wheat bread, celery, English muffins, 18 eggs, 32 oz. bottle of creamer, wine, big head of caulifower.
I thought I would start reporting what I eat, too. For two reasons -- to keep myself accountable, and it might be interesting to some of you how I eat on $20 a week.
