Down to $52

July 16th, 2012 at 02:20 pm

After the haircut, I'm down to $52.

I'm making a trip up to Evanston this evening to look at a condo, so a gas purchase is fast approaching. Maybe not tonight, but soon.

I'm leaving right after work, so food might be a problem too. I do have some in the fridge here at work, so if I just remember to eat something before I leave, I'll probably be okay.

Yesterday was another relaxing day. I made some spaghetti sauce -- lots of meat and a little tomato! For my big meal of the day I had whole-grain capellini with the sauce, a cup of cheese soup and a side of creamed spinach. My brunch was Eggs Florentine -- eggs cook on top of spinach and sprinkled with cheese. Both meals were delicious.

My dinner revealed the dark side of low-carb eating, however. Two hot dogs without the bun, and low-carb ice cream!

This morning my co-worker brought in brownies. I had a small one, with a side of strawberries and a stick of cheese. Oh well. Maybe these little cheats will keep me on it for the long term.

Hope the condo works out. Evanston is pretty nice. Your Sunday meals sounded delicious!

Too late for today's trip to Evanston but you might like to grill/bake chicken or turkey breast or ham or Summer sausage in chunks when chilled along with chunks of apple . Works well to replace bread which is not part of Kr culture.

sorry MacBook is about to die. Trying to say Ssam, Korean style wraps bites of meat + veg or fruit in a lettuce leaf, like a wrap or roll or pouch to replace bread which is not part of Kr culture.

I had heard about the lettuce wrap idea but had forgotten. Thanks!

I like eating my veggie dogs with or without a bun. I can eat more w/o Smile
