I went to the hospital for the mammogram this morning, and it went so quickly I felt I had time to stop on the way back at Pier One. I was looking for trays to set on top of my ottomans so that I could set drinks, etc. on them.
They had a lot on sale, but the ones I thought would work best were not on sale. After using my $15 gift card, the two trays were $48. Not much of a bargain, I admit, but I think they will fit well and look good. I expected to buy black, but they are white with a large silver pattern. I think they will make the room a little livelier.
My original plan was to get something at Goodwill, but having to have find identical trays proved a problem.
I have a busy weekend ahead. Tonight my son is having a chili supper in honor of visiting relatives (his father's side of the family). Tomorrow the celebration will continue at my ex's with brunch and supper. On Sunday I'm making plans to go to a movie with my friend who lives in Hyde Park. Sometime in the middle of all that I've got a lot of laundry to do. And right now all I want to do is sleep (because I can't seem to do it at night!)
