Yep, it's Monday

July 7th, 2014 at 01:58 pm

Oh, it's hard to go back to work after a long weekend!

Yesterday it turned hot and muggy again. My son came to install the air conditioner in my bedroom. More circuit breaker problems. The bedroom air conditioner is more powerful than the others, so I can't run it at the same time that I run the others. I will have to save it for nighttime only, and turn the others off. Also, get this, I can't run it at the same time that the living room lights are on. I will change the bulbs in the three wall sconces to CF bulbs, which may help.

Now I understand why the previous owner didn't have AC in the bedroom.

Vintage buildings. Ugh.

My chicken in cherry sauce turned out great, and I have two more servings! I have to be mindful to use up everything, as I will be away this weekend.

Now on to getting my car ready for the trip. Only three hours, but I'll be transporting my precious granddaughter!

Ugh. We have a silly problem right now; we installed a new chandelier for the dining area that isn't very compatible with the dimmer switch, so when it's on, the lights blink off occasionally, one at a time, seemingly at random. And when it's switched off, the lights flicker like our condo is haunted. I can picture the contractors laughing at us as they work on the kitchen next to our flickering dining area! Big Grin

We updated all our wiring when we moved here, but A/C really seems to make even that wonky.

Use LED's instead of CF's and use less electricity. We have CF and led. Led are good for a small room, and CF's for large rooms.

CJ, I had some pretty wacky lighting effects, too, while going through this process. Good background for an Edgar Allan Poe story!

Aukxsona, I didn't know there was a difference! I'll look for the LED's!
