Quiet Day

June 6th, 2017 at 03:33 am

I slept late and showered late. Didn't go to the gym until 4:00. When I got done at 5, pizza was served at Planet Fitness! So I had a free dinner, though pretty small, since I politely took only one piece.

From Planet Fitness I went to my grandson's baseball game. He was his old self, all recovered from his meltdown. His team lost, but it didn't bother him. It was his last league game this year and now travel baseball will start in earnest.

It was VERY COLD sitting on the bleachers! Surprising, since it was so hot yesterday. I ended up taking my other grandson home a bit early so we could both warm up. I took him to Starbucks for a warm blueberry muffin ($3). I found .93 there! Then I took him home, as mom and dad were already there.

I'm temporarily quitting my statin, as it is -- once again -- causing muscle cramps and pain. I have an appointment on June 30 to discuss next steps. I also arranged for a blood draw to check my kidney function. I'll do that in the next few days.

CB, no one would have noticed if you took that second slice of pizza! Good luck with the blood draw and statin withdrawal. My 84-year-old dd found a dime the other day. He says he doesn't bend over for pennies anymore!

Sorry you were in pain. Statins are known to weaken muscles and are not so great on the heart...so this is not a surprising side effect. {url=http://www.greenmedinfo.com/blog/cholesterol-its-all-good]Here's an article to consider[/url], which links to many others.

I hope you're able to find a solution.
