Uberfrugal?

July 2nd, 2017 at 12:59 am

I just got home from the second baseball game today. First game was a slaughter but we won the second.

C. did the driving, so today I spent nothing and didn't even use gas. Oh, I take that back. I spent $2.25 on laundry.

Next month looks awful, financially. I got my property tax bill - $615. I will also have to pay the car repair bill of $884 which I put on Discover. I'm feeling overwhelmed. I am getting through this month okay. I paid my bills. I have spent 32% of my variables budget (3 1/2 weeks to go!) My net worth has stayed stable. But next month -- I will have to raid e-fund savings and my net worth will drop. That will feel bad and I don't know how I will make it up.

I would like to join everyone else for an uberfrugal month, but I will have to do it only in part. I've already promised a restaurant birthday dinner for DIL, and I have the July 4 trip to my brother's coming up, which won't be expensive, but neither will it be free.

I will be extra careful on groceries, and I'll delay making appointments for vet, eyes, and dentist. I'll put off any wants. It's all I can do.

    Hi CB,
I've been on a bit of a hiatus but what is the UberFrugal? Also, I just wanted to say, I think you'll do fine this month.

I'm only partially in this month too. It's DD's birthday, and we leave for the UK. But I'm aiming for 15 UF days, 20 if possible.

I'm partially in this month as well, but can't be UF.M totally. I feel your pain. Just paid our Discover bill and a few other odds and ends and am worried about the budget stuff with the state and the chance the pension check could be delayed so I feel a little stress although we have the money in savings. I just hate to hit the savings for everyday expenses. However, DH has an appointment with a specialist this week for a health issue and I have an appointment for a medical test over and above the regular stuff so I worry about how that is going to play out financially as well as health wise
