Update

April 19th, 2018 at 06:14 pm

I returned to Sam's this morning and exchanged the soup base. I also bought two big bottles of body wash for $10.

I can see that there is going to be a bump in expenditure as I start buying bulk. It should even out as the need to replace items becomes less and less frequent.

Variables are now at 62%, with six days to go, so I am still doing well.

I've found places for all the bulk items I've bought so far. My last chore for today is to strip the chicken carcass, freeze the meat, and make broth. Actually, that might be a tomorrow thing, since I need to pick up the boys in about an hour.

I haven't had a membership in a few years but when I did I wrote the date I started using a product on the bottle so I could figure out how fast I was using it and approximately when I would need to replace it.

My friend just got a membership at Sam's and offered me her other card so I am happy to buy tp, paper towels, cleaning products, laundry soap, etc. in bulk. And I have a good candidate for a house mate I am meeting next week. As a landlord I provide all that stuff (soaps, dryer sheets, etc.) because I am allergic to some chemicals and it makes it hard to breathe. I save the receipts for my accountant and write off a portion of household goods.

Really hope this candidate works out!
