Ortho Doctor

I went to the orthopedic doctor this morning. The appointment was at 9:30 and I didn't get out again until 12. Most of the time was spent waiting, of course. They took more x-rays, and I scheduled my hip replacement surgery officially for April 2.

They gave me a ton of stuff to read.

Afterwards, I went to the gym and then got gas for $19. Cheapest fill-up I've had in a LONG time!

The copay at the doctor's was $50.

That took variables to 101%, and I have a week and two days to go till pay day. But that's December for you.

    Make sure you have a lot of help after your hip surgery. You will need more than you think you will need. I've been through it twice with Mom now. It is almost a full time job for the caretaker.

    Thanks, Robin. My BFF is going to stay with me for a week, and my son and DIL live a block away and will be available to help out. There are things the grandsons can do, too, like cleaning the litter pan and bringing over food. I'm trusting that will be enough.

    Best of luck - made a world of difference when my husband had both done (separately, a year apart). As you probably know, stairs are likely to be problematic, so having a plan for laundry and exercise may help Smile
