A walk to the library

October 31st, 2006 at 12:10 am

It was a no-spend day. It was lovely weather today, so at lunch time I decided to walk to the library and check out some more books -- I also picked up a bunch of free magazines -- all recent, so I will look through them for coupons.

To thank my friend who let us use her home theater last night, I gave her a coupon from my entertainment book. It's good for a free dinner for her birthday at a good restaurant in town (but she'll have to be in a party of four.) It wasn't much, just enough to let her know I appreciated her favor to me. And she is someone who will use it. I also went through the book and tore out some coupons for a car repair shop that I don't use, but that another friend does. I'll give them to her next time I see her.

Someone brought carmel corn to work today, and I could NOT leave it alone. It is something I can't resist. I'm going to have to go back to restricting myself from eating between meals; I'm out of control. Just because something is free does NOT mean I have to eat it!

Meals today:

Breakfast: Toast, bacon, coffee
Snack: Carmel corn
Lunch: Lean Cuisine pizza, brownie
Snack: Carmel corn
Dinner: Lean Cuisine Sante Fe rice & beans.
