Back to Goodwill & Lousy Spray Bottles

June 18th, 2006 at 04:58 pm

Well, I decided to try and take back a couple of the Goodwill items -- the pants that I know my son won't wear, and one of the bras. Turns out it is a "backless" bra, and I don't need that! I already cut the tags off, so I don't know if they'll take them back. If not, I'll just donate them.

This morning I put some ammonia and water into an empty spray bottle for some cleaning chores. The bottle quit spraying. I dug around and found another spray bottle with an inch or so of all-purpose cleaner. Made sure it didn't contain bleach, then added the ammonia & water mixture to it. Well, that bottle didn't spray either. Getting annoyed, I looked around some more and found a Windex bottle about 3/4 empty. Added the new mixture in there, and yay, finally had a working bottle and the "new" cleanser did a nice job. I used to mix my own cleansers but got out of the habit. I actually did find another spray bottle with a mystery solution in it -- it wasn't labeled, shame on me. I have no idea what it is and I don't dare use it.

I apparently buy my spray bottles the same place you do! They don't work worth a darn.......... I've got a couple now, that I can make spray, but I know they aren't going to hold up. I'm always on the look out for a few more!!

I have found really good spray bottles in the gardening section of WalMart. They beat the ones in the cleaning department hands down. They have some that are 99 cents and some heavy duty ones that are $2.99. I have never had any of this type go out on me.

    Thanks, I'll try that!
