Thank you for your kind comments on my homecoming frustration. I'm feeling better today, more philosophical.

My building collected cash yesterday for the custodian who lost her home. I didn't have any, but this morning I took out a bit from savings. I started to give it to the woman who is collecting, but she said they got quite a bit yesterday and it's already been delivered. She asked if I would wait, because she has enough to tide her over now but will need more in the future. I said OK! I'm really glad there has been such a good response.
