A quiet day at home

February 3rd, 2008 at 12:49 am

My sister & hubby came over for cards. They were full from a big lunch, so no snacks were needed today.

Tomorrow we will have a Superbowl party of sorts. They will bring shrimp. I will pull out the cheeseball that didn't get eaten today. I will also make deviled eggs, and maybe a Waldorf salad, as I have plenty of apples on hand.

My frugal activity of the day: I went through all my old papers and pulled out the crossword puzzle sections. Cheap entertainment and brain exercise, too!

My dog seems to have an upset stomach. I looked for remedies on the internet. Pepto was suggested, but my dog wouldn't eat it. Yogurt was also suggested, and that went down fine. Hope he gets to feeling better. I know the vet will not be available tomorrow.

I hope doggie feels better soon! I hate it when my pets are feeling low.

My puppy gets upset tummy all the time. I have had all kind of tests run ($400 worth) to find out she has a sensitive tummy!! They want her on bland food, but she won't eat it. We have finally learned just to leave her alone and she will get over it. Sometimes eating grass helps her to spit up. I have heard of the yogert thing too.

Both of my dogs were vomiting this morning. I had to spend much of the morning with the carpet shampooer!
They seem better now, but they were not happy dogs this morning, and in the wee hours. I wasn't happy either!

My dog got better quickly -- don't know if it was the yogurt that did it, but I'll sure try it again next time.
