This is my last weekend before I go back to work. Thank goodness it is a long one.
I'm not looking forward to going back to work -- not because I don't like my job, but I am dreading the logistics of going there with a walker and my leg in a boot.
BUT ... I am so much better off, a thousand times better off, than the injured people in Haiti who have no medical care, not even the food and water they need. I tried earlier to send money to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund but I couldn't get past the "donate" button. I hope that means that a gazillion people are using it. I will try later.
I am still taking it easy, but I am able to do little things now like small loads of laundry, loading the dishwasher, cleaning the bathroom counter. Being able to walk a little bit on my bad leg is making such a difference in my mobility.
Payday was yesterday. I paid my rent, paid off my Discover card (which I do every month), and put $288 on my BoA card. The debt is going down more slowly than I would like, but when I get my tax refund it will be gone for good.
All my other bills will come out automatically. Very handy, but somehow it makes payday less fun!
