My last entry was April 8!
Well, I've given my $1000 wedding gift to my son, so that is no longer in my sidebar. I'm now counting all the money in my money market fund toward the car, as well as my ING Sharebuilder account. The housing fund is in stocks.
I will continue to build the emergency fund, knowing that someday it, too, may go toward housing.
I've decided (I think) not to move this year. My rent will only go up by $20 a month. A move would cost more than that, and would add a commuting cost as well. Much as I would like to be nearer my kids, I have to think of the bottom line -- being able to relocate into permanent housing after I retire. (Hope I'm not repeating myself -- should have read my last entry).
Work is nuts. I wish I could retire today, but then I would have to eat cat food for the rest of my life.
I am heading into my last week of physical therapy next week, and I believe my next appointment with my ortho surgeon will be the last. So I guess I am officially well, though I think the remnants of my ankle break will be with me for a while. And I may never be able to go down stairs without pain, but, hey, that's what elevators are for! So far the only money I have paid out of pocket for this break is the $15 co-pay for every doctor's visit. I hope it stays that way.
Just got back lab results and everything is good!
Once again, I've been out of it....
