I did my taxes last night. I was going to do them on paper, but I realized I'm too out of practice to be confident using the forms, so I went through the IRS website and found 1040NOW, which did my federal taxes for free, and only charged $17.95 for state. Much better than last year with TurboTax.

I must be doing better financially, because I'm getting much less of a refund this year -- only around $750 (can't remember exactly) as opposed to more than $2000. And I have to pay $123 in state tax! Well, I suppose that's because Illinois is in such a financial mess.

Anyway, it's all done, and I still cleared something to put in savings.
