Thank You card and a big mess

February 12th, 2013 at 02:35 pm

Yesterday I got a $29 Thank You card from Macy's. I had forgotten that was coming to me. It is a sort of rebate on my purchase of a down coat and boots. I will either save it for gifts or put it toward a new bra. My best black bra "broke" the other day -- the underwire, that is. I should probably stop buying underwires -- that's always what goes first. If I get a bra, I'll wait for a super sale first.

I had my first homeowner's disaster -- not such a disaster, but a yucky annoyance. The bleach bottle sitting under my sink has apparently been slowly leaking. The floor of the cabinet is ruined (as well as a box of washing soda). Actually, maybe it was lucky that the washing soda soaked up a lot of the liquid. Anyway, I'm going to let it dry out thoroughly and then will probably lay vinyl squares over it.

I've found two pennies in two days. My total, since I've been keeping track, is $19.80. Close to $20 now -- just stuff I picked up off the ground!

Ugh, I've tried to keep wearing bras where the underwire had broken through and it's no fun!

Do you put them through the dryer? I've found that they last a lot longer if I lay them on a towel to dry instead.

You can always remove the underwire and use it as an at home bra if you need more support than that.

Yeah, I've actually tried both repair and taking out the wire before and wasn't happy with either solution. And it seems like as soon as the underwire goes, the other parts go, too.

I don't put them through the dryer, but maybe the washer is too rough for them. I could hand wash. I'm sure it's better for them.
