Lazy Sunday

June 30th, 2013 at 10:16 pm

It's been a pretty lazy day -- the kind I need. I did a load of laundry and shopped for socks at Kohl's -- $9 on top of my $50 gift card. I got 12 pairs of socks. For some reason I go through socks like wildfire, so this time I got Gold Toe and Nike in hopes that they will last longer. The Nikes were 20% off but the Gold Toe were full price.

My upstairs neighbor left a note on my door that they will be doing some remodeling for the next four weeks and I might hear some noise. Nice of her to let me know. I'm guessing that since I'm gone 12 hours a day it won't be much of an issue.

I also watched the movie "Broken Flowers" with Bill Murray. Although it was billed as a comedy it is much more thoughtful and introspective than that. I recommend it.

I was hoping to have my kids help hang my pictures (yeah, that's right, they're still not hung), but they went to Six Flags. It is such a nice day; it was the perfect time for them to go.

Meanwhile, I'm just enjoying hanging out with the windows open and the breeze blowing in!

Yes, the story line is that one of them anonymously wrote a letter that he has a 19-year-old son who has taken off to look for him. He tries to figure out who it is and where his son might be.
