June Recap

July 1st, 2013 at 03:31 pm

This month my spending was more in line. No big purchases -- some small ones.

Housing - $1039
Gifts/Charity - $239
Insurance - $215
Fares/Parking - $148
Groceries - $137
Utilities - $90
Clothing - $84
Gas - $75
Medical/Health - $72
Entertainment - $71
Furnishings/Equipment/Decor - $66
Eating Out - $63
Phone - $55
Vet/Pet Supplies - $33
Personal - $26
Laundry - $18
Household Supplies - $13
Grand Total - $2442

As usual, the housing includes extra payment on mortgage.

The gifts covered two birthdays, plus gifts to take to Florida.

Insurance - semi-annual car insurance

Fares/Parking - Train pass, street parking, and museum parking

Clothing - Lots of socks, plus 3 pairs of pants I found at Goodwill

Medical/Health - mostly for lab work

Entertainment - museum visit with grandsons

Everything else is pretty self-explanatory.

I'm still waiting to make my Discover payment this morning. The bank account still says "pending" on my deposit from TIAA-CREF. But I have transferred the money from my slush fund, which you see on the sidebar leaves it at $1.

Unrelated issue -- WHY WHY WHY do I have sleepless nights for no reason? I didn't even have caffeine yesterday. I wasn't wound up or worried about anything. The temperature was comfortable. I wasn't hungry or in pain.

I wonder if Mucinex-D affects sleep? That's all I can think of.

Mucinex D can definitely affect one's sleep. (As I found to my chagrin only this week.) Good luck!
