I stopped at McDonald's in the station this morning for breakfast. Since I'm playing the Monopoly game, I got two hash browns and a smoothie ($5). Won some fries -- the rest of the tickets were properties -- not the rare ones. I'll check the codes online shortly. I also found two discarded tickets at the top of the escalator, so I'll check those codes, too.

And I found a penny.

It's hard to believe it's August already. School starts on August 26, but the opening breakfast, which is kind of our official kick-off for the new year, is on August 19.

I'm already noticing the shorter days -- I'm waking up in the dark now -- and it's harder to get up. Hard to believe that in a few months I'll be walking in the snow again!
