Changing a Habit

October 8th, 2020 at 12:58 pm

I've been in the habit of posting every day. For many years, it has helped me stay on track with my spending. Just knowing I would have to 'fess up has kept me from doing things I shouldn't do.

But lately I find I am struggling to find something to say. My life has narrowed considerably with the advent of the coronavirus, and there is a sameness to my days that doesn't translate well to the written page. My finances are mostly on autopilot and I have few decisions to make.

So I have decided that I will only post when I have real financial news to post. I only say this because I don't want anyone to worry about me. I'm fine.

That said, I don't have any financial news today! But I expect I will soon. I'm not going away....

I too live with finances on auto pilot and not much going on financially or otherwise. I do enjoy your posts though, they have this sense of calmness and stability.

i will miss your daily posts CB. I find them comforting - i.e., no change in my routine. I hope you change your mind (selfishly).

I'll miss your daily posts. I feel the same about feeling like I don't have much to say because of the sameness of life these days, but your posts made me feel like I was in good company!

Your daily posts will be missed, but you need to do what works best for you! How wonderful that you no longer need to stay accountable and have the freedom to blog at will because those finances are on auto-pilot! You go girl!

I had just posted this to Grnadma Ray but I fell it applies here too: I like to sit with my coffee in the morning and read the blogs. I agree there aren't as many as there used to be and I often wonder where people are ... yet I never blogged myself. I've been reading since about 2008 and have since got myself out of consumer debt yet I still read every day. When this blog was "down" I just wasn't the same in the morning. Anyway .... thank you for your posting and blogging! :-) I appreciate it !

Turtle Lover I am the same! I've been here since 2006 but never felt like I could blog. I just didn't know where to start or what to say. But, oh how I love reading all the blogs. When I was in debt it helped watching and following along. So many of you were my mentors and you never knew it!

I'll also miss your posts, but, as they say, "you do you." While I'm not hoping you have a lot of financial news (steady and stable is good), I still hope to see you around!
