I would have no luck at all. Sometimes I feel that way. Yesterday evening, after spending almost $100 on groceries, my power went out in a storm and stayed out for 18 hours. A lot of the food I bought will have to be thrown away. Sometimes I just feel like I'm hitting my head against a wall.
Had I been more on the ball I could have saved some of it, but it was black as pitch in the house and I didn't think the power would be out so long. It's never been out more than a few minutes before.
I didn't get much sleep, because I was so upset. This morning, there was no heat and no hot water. I had to keep driving around so I could charge my phone. It was dismal. Thank goodness things are back to normal, but now I have the task of getting rid of all that compromised food. Sigh.
