This and That

December 28th, 2020 at 10:06 pm

I got a $250 cash Christmas gift this year, so this morning I deposited $200 into savings and converted $40 into quarters.  That gives me a $10 bill to walk around with.

I returned the slippers that did not fit right.  No hassle at all at UPS.

This afternoon I made cabbage potato soup.  I was planning on making potato soup, but since I had a half a head of cabbage to use up, I looked up the recipe in Fanny Farmer.  It was quite simple.  I didn't have bacon bits to add, but I think it will be fine.  Vegetarian soup!

I spent another $12 on another late Christmas gift.  Really, I've got to be better about this next year!

Iggy was a perfect gentleman while getting his fluids today.  I finished the bag, so tomorrow I need to get in touch with the vet.

Cash is king! I always appreciate receiving cash as a gift. Or a gift card where I routinely shop. Glad Iggy is doing well.

    CB,
You might want to look at Heartland Vet for fluids. We gave Baby fluids starting in August til recently - $8/bag vs $15+ from the vet. In fact, we have an unopened bag I'd be happy to send you.

Thank you Laura, that is so kind! It would probably cost you more than it's worth to mail the bag to me, though. Better to find someone nearby who can use it! I will check out Heartland Vet -- thanks for the tip.
