I crawled out this morning to go pick up my car at the city garage. I had to take the train to get there, and that meant a four-block walk to get to the station. Once I picked up the car, I went to Midas to get my oil changed. They weren't able to take me right away, so I scheduled an appointment for an hour and a half later, and I ran some other errands -- I picked up needles and saline at the vet's - $16 - bought lunch at a drive-through for $10, and exchanged books at the library. The oil change was $44. Variables are at 66%..
While the car was up on the rack, they saw a problem with the suspension, so I scheduled an appointment to get that fixed next week. It will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $400. I'm not happy about that, but with all the problems people are experiencing with bad weather, failing power grids, frozen pipes -- I can hardly complain.
When I got home, I was very tired. I'm not sure why it hit me so hard. I tried to nap, but didn't fall asleep. Finally got up and watched some TV.
The snow in my courtyard is waist high. The roads are in bad shape, especially the side roads. I saw many cars that were completely buried. I can't wait for this winter to end.

DH and I have found that being home a lot, then going out, especially when it is really cold, makes us feel very tired. Perhaps that is what happened to you, plus the stress of all the snow and being out in it.
