Well, I've done it again. I've run out of money -- well, almost. I have $8 left for the month. My bills are paid, but I am out of milk and low on pet food. I'm really tired of this routine, and feeling like I will never get out of this hole.
Spent $10 on gas today, just a half a tank so I wouldn't be flat broke.
I'm also having computer problems; I think my anti-virus program is screwed up. Wish I weren't so ignorant about these things.
Meals today:
Breakfast: yogurt
Lunch: Lean Cuisine (Salisbury steak & macaroni)
Dinner: pizza, ice cream

When I cash my check, I buy at least one, usually two to three rolls of quarters, then put them in my "home savings jar" when I get home.
Bills are attractive to look at, lightweight, and just scream to be spent. Coins on the other hand are heavy, cumbersome, and not so attractive to look at, therefore the temptation to spend is not so great.
I know it may sound crazy, but it really works. This is a form of "paying yourself first" that might work for you. Please consider it.
