Frugal accomplishments

October 25th, 2006 at 12:46 am

High points of the day:

We had a carry-in at work. I brought homemade brownies, and in exchange got a HUGE lunch. Unfortunately, I ate a little too much. I am still full, and I have skipped dinner.

I got my oil changed and a 16-point inspection for free. Had a coupon.

I took Norton off my computer and installed McAfee for free. I still had two months of my Norton subscription but it was not acting right. It took some doing to get the McAfee installed, but I did it!

I balanced my checkbook and it looks like I may have more money than I thought. I'm skeptical, so I'm going to do it again before I'm sure.

Meals today:

Breakfast: Peanut butter & jelly sandwich
Lunch: A plate full of little bits of various casseroles, salads, soups, side dishes, rolls and desserts.
Dinner: None
