Did some laundry last night - $1.50. I paid a $64 medical bill yesterday and will be paying $196 today. Will also pay my gas bill, but first have to check out why they didn't get last month's payment -- or if they really didn't. I'm pretty sure I set it up with Checkfree.

I woke up at 4 again. And here I was so looking forward to an extra hour of sleep! My body refuses to acknowledge that the time has changed. So after lying around for a while I got up and got ready in a leisurely way. I do like it when I have time to make the bed in the morning and clean the cat pan. Just seems to make the whole day go better.

My intercom has not worked right since I moved in -- my visitors cannot hear my voice, and they say the door doesn't unlock when I try to buzz them in. I'm not sure what's wrong, but I called the property manager and they are sending someone to look at the box in the vestibule. If there is no problem with that, then I will have to pay to get my intercom repaired. That's okay. That's what I have the E fund for.

I got a $5 off welcome coupon from Whole Foods. I'm tempted to use it, even though the extra cost of the food there will wipe out any gain from using the coupon. But it's fun to go there. I'll look for something I can't get at other places.

They tell me a Trader Joe's is scheduled to open in the same area. I can't really tell where it is going to be -- not a lot of progress has been made, I guess. But I'm looking forward to it.

There is an Aldi not far away, also. I need to check that out.
