Check Is In!

Well, the lead story for today is that my refund check from the warranty company is already in my hands! The guy at the dealership called me this morning, and I went and picked it up. It is more than I remembered -- $874. This is going to help out a lot. I'll be able to pay all my bills this month without juggling money around.

I went to the doctor this morning. It was no charge, since it was my Medicare Wellness Assessment. Everything is fine, but I have to do some labs. That is where the issues pop up -- in the blood work. But at this point, my doctor said my health is excellent, even with the kidney disease. I'll probably go do the labs on Monday.

It snowed this morning, so rather than clean off the car, I rode the train to the doctor. By the time I got home, the snow on the car had pretty much melted. That's when I hopped in the car and went to pick up my check. Anyway, it's a bit of a savings every time I take the train, because it's free, and it doesn't take gas or parking fees. Plus I get in a 6-block walk.

    Great news all around, CB. Glad the check came so quickly for you. I get my vacation payout tomorrow and i'm going to pay off my car Smile Happy Friday.

    So glad that ordeal is over for you and that you can pay all bills. Woo-Hoo! My thought on the whole "failed mail" thing is could someone be stealing your mail? Could you get a locking mailbox to deter such theft? Just a thought.

    Thank you! Michele, Iggy is doing well; his infection has cleared up and he is eating and just seems like his old self. CL, I don't think anyone is stealing my mail; it's just being misdelivered and perhaps thrown away. I was told that the lost check was never cashed. I do have a locked mailbox, but packages are a different story; they are just set down on the floor of the vestibule.
